Great things ahead • The Greatest Gathering event at Alstom’s Derby Litchurch Lane in August promises to be the best railway event in years. Pip Dunn talks to two of the organising team, Gus Dunster and James Dobson, to find out more about the three-day event.

What’s happening to… • Our monthly round-up of restoration projects around the country, compiled by Pip Dunn.
